Dr. Horgan was born in Belmont Massachusetts and graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1976. He received his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine with the first graduating class of Tufts University School of Veterinary medicine in 1983. He then spent five years as assistant clinical professor in emergency medicine at South Shore Veterinary Associates, a teaching hospital for Tuft's University School of Veterinary Medicine before moving to Brunswick Maine in 1988.
He has volunteered his veterinary services to the country of El Salvador over the years. He has a son Patrick, who is currently attending college. Finn his beautiful yellow Labrador can often be seen wandering the clinic. During his free time Dr. Horgan enjoys golf and traveling.

Dr. Wood studied art and zoology before graduating from Tufts Veterinary school in 1986. In 1989 she joined the staff of the Veterinary Clinic. In 2000 she built and launched a gaff rigged cutter with her husband, Philip Shelton, which they sailed around the world, returning in 2003. The website "Iwalani's Voyage Around the World" at www.worldvoyagers.com details their adventure and experiences working with animals and people around the globe. Dr. Wood is also co-owner of Book Orchard Press, a company dedicated to publishing books about animals that enrich our lives. As a professional artist, she spends most of her time writing, painting, and web designing. She enjoys all activities the planet has to offer-with the exception of rock climbing, sky diving, shopping and watching TV. She lives with her husband, stepson and various rejected animals on an organic salt water farm, very near the edge of the earth.

Dr Kevin Cowan has lived in Brunswick with his wife and three daughters for 20 years. He is a double Jumbo, graduating from Tufts University with a BS in Biology in 1987 and then from the Tufts Cummings veterinary school in 1991. He started his career as a mixed animal practitioner in a large dairy based practice, eventually focusing his attention on small animal medicine. He worked in referral based small animal hospitals finally transitioning to 15 years as an emergency veterinarian at several local emergency clinics. In his spare time he dabbles with raising farm animals in borrowed spaces.
Enjoys senior/geriatric patients and soft tissue surgery.

Dr. Parthum graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She completed a rigorous small animal medicine and surgery internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey. She continued to work at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital as a general practioner for 2.5 years before moving back to New England. She has practiced in Brunswick Maine since 2002. She lives with her husband, three children and various pets and enjoys reading, hiking and kayaking. She loves being a part of the community and sharing her love of veterinary medicine. She often gives veterinary presentations to schools and youth group organizations.
